El príncipe Guillermo, heredero del trono inglés, acudió este domingo en solitario al Royal Festival Vestíbulo, en el complicado Southbank, en Londres, a presenciar en directo la ceremonia de entrega de los premios BAFTA del cine inglés, sin su esposa, Catalina, que se recupera de una cirugía intestinal.
El príncipe de Gales, primogénito del rey Carlos III y la malograda Lady Di, ocupa el cargo de presidente de la Entidad británica de las Artes del Cine y Televisión (BAFTA), que hoy celebra su 77 estampación.
Se calma que al concluir la ropa, el príncipe felicitará personalmente a los ganadores de los BAFTA.
El pasado año, Guillermo acudió a la ropa en compañía de su esposa, la princesa de Gales, quien fue ingresada el 16 de enero en un hospital de Londres para someterse a una cirugía intestinal planificada, de la que no se han desvelado detalles, por la que permaneció hospitalizada diez días, y de la que ahora se recupera.
No se prevé que Catalina vaya a reincorporarse a sus compromisos oficiales hasta el próximo abril, aproximadamente hasta la Semana Santa.

Para su consorte, el príncipe Guillermo, está siendo un año complicado, ya que encima de la herido de Catalina, su padre, el rey Carlos III, de 75 abriles, recibe actualmente tratamiento por un cáncer -cuyo tipo no se ha revelado- que se le detectó al someterse a una intervención por un agrandamiento de próstata.
