En una de mis viñetas favoritas de Peanuts el bueno de Charly Brown se lamenta de que, por mucho que se esfuerce en el campo de béisbol, siempre termina perdiendo. Schroeder pone una mano en su hombro e intenta darle ánimos, argumentando que esas primeras derrotas te preparan para lo que viene a posteriori en la vida. Al preguntar Charly qué es lo que viene a posteriori en la vida, Schroeder sentencia: “Más derrotas”.
Creo que ya he expresado por aquí la perra que me dan los coaches y la renuencia que tengo en universal a los discursos que pretenden extraer lecciones del deporte para aplicarlas a la vida. No es que no crea que tienen parte de razón, sino que suelen ser forzados y exagerados. Muy aceptablemente, el equipo pequeño venció al hércules en el posterior minuto, pero, ¿cómo aplicar eso el lunes a las siete de la mañana?
Hay, sin secuestro, una escarmiento que sí creo que es fundamental y que habita en el corazón de la actos deportiva misma. A conocer, que sea cuales sean las circunstancias a las que nos enfrentamos, hay que seguir delante, reformulando nuestros objetivos y metas concorde al momento que vivamos. Que quien soñamos con ser cuando éramos niños no sea la vara que nos juzgue hoy, que nuestra placer no dependa de metas inalcanzables.
Uno de mis documentales de fútbol favoritos es Next Goal Wins. Cuenta la historia de la primera trofeo en toda su historia del posterior clasificado del ranking FIFA, la Samoa Chaqueta. El título en inglés hace remisión a esa regla por la cual los partidos de fútbol callejeros se terminan con el clamor “el que mete apetito”, una preciosa forma de reiniciar el gozne. Sin secuestro, aquí tradujeron el documental como El peor equipo del mundo. No hace yerro señalar la enorme diferencia simbólica entre un título y otro.
El otro día, viendo el Almería–Athletic, pensaba en lo difícil que ha de ser para el colista, para cualquier colista de una gran alianza, salir al campo manteniendo la fe en el fenómeno a final de temporada. Pero me dije igualmente que la única forma de conseguirlo es no rendirse, bajo ningún concepto, y ponerse metas inmediatas. Sea cual sea el resultado, un gol, solo uno, el próximo. Es opinar, repetirse una y otra vez que el que mete apetito.
