Las modificaciones aprobadas por el IFT permiten a CFE TEIT proporcionar servicios sin fines de provecho en ciertas localidades y a personas en situación de vulnerabilidad económica.
El Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) ha transmitido luz verde a la modificación y complemento de condiciones al título de concesión de CFE Telecomunicaciones e Internet para Todos (CFE TEIT), con el objetivo de ampliar su radio y propiciar el uso equitativo de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación como un derecho humano.
Estas modificaciones, aprobadas por el entraña regulador de las telecomunicaciones en México, permiten a CFE TEIT proporcionar servicios sin fines de provecho en ciertas localidades y a personas en situación de vulnerabilidad económica, bajo ciertas restricciones.
El IFT asegura que estas modificaciones garantizan que CFE TEIT pueda ofrecer servicios a personas que carecen de posibles para consentir a ellos y que no son atendidas por el mercado convencional, según un comunicado emitido por el instituto.
Beneficiarios
Entre las modificaciones realizadas al título de concesión de CFE TEIT, se incluye la posibilidad de proveer servicios a personas mayores de 14 abriles que residan en zonas de ingreso marginación y rezago social, así como a beneficiarios de programas sociales no universales dirigidos a grupos en situación de vulnerabilidad económica. Todo ello bajo el amparo de programas de inclusión digital universal y escaso a un mayor de 4 millones 242 mil 850 personas, según datos de la Averiguación Doméstico sobre Disponibilidad y Uso de Tecnologías de la Información en los Hogares (Endutih) 2022.
El IFT todavía estableció obligaciones para CFE TEIT, incluyendo la presentación periódica de listas de precios de servicios, información detallada sobre contratos con autoridades o proveedores de servicios de telecomunicaciones con décimo pública, así como políticas y programas de inclusión digital y cobertura universal.
Estas modificaciones, enfatiza el IFT, buscan contribuir al golpe equitativo a las tecnologías de la información y comunicación, sin comprometer la competencia en el mercado. El instituto todavía subraya que la resolución no implica autorizar un software social ni determinar que CFE TEIT regale servicios de telecomunicaciones.
