La ciclista italiana Vittoria Guazzin (FDJ-Suez) se a hecho con el triunfo en la 13ª impresión del GP Le Samyn Femíneo, prueba de un día del calendario europeo disputada este martes sobre un trazado de 114,8 kilómetros que enlazó las localidades belgas de Quaregnon y Dour.
Tras 2 horas, 4 minutos y 14 segundos de carrera, Vittoria Guazzin se impuso en un sprint a cinco en la presentación a Dour, en la región de Valonia, por delante de la finlandesa Anniina Ahtosalo (Uno-X Mobility) y de la austriaca Christina Schweinberger (Fenix-Deceuninck), segunda y tercera cerrando el podio. A continuación llegaron las neerlandesas Karlijn Swinkels (UAE-Adq) y Anneke Dijkstra (VolkerWessels).
En la sexta plaza se clasificó la francesa Aude Biannic (Movistar), quien saltó del clase en el extremo kilómetros sin obtener datar a la inicio de carrera.
Guazzini (Pontedera, 23 abriles) había acabado en el GP Le Samyn des Dames dos terceros puestos, pero en esta ocasión midió perfectamente las fuerzas para imponer la ley de la más veloz en la recta de meta.
Es la cuarta vencimiento para la corredora transalpina, protagonista de la alto buena de la recorrido, si proporcionadamente corrió peligro en los últimos kilómetros por la proximidad del pelotón.
En el itinerario la dureza se concentró en el circuito final, al que hubieron de darse 4 vueltas, con las cotas de Cota de Nonettes (0,3 Km al 3,2%) y de la Roquette (0,5 Km al 3,1%) como puntos de interés.
Al circuito llegaron escapadas tres corredoras: las neerlandesas Karlijn Swinkels (UAE) y Anneke Disjkstra (VolkerWessels) y la campeona de Finlandia Anniina Ahtosalo (Uno-X Mobility), a las que se unieron a 5 de meta la austríaca Christina Schweinberger (Fenix Deceuninck) y Vittoria Guazzini.
Una renta preocupante para un pelotón que se confió tanto que se le fue la posibilidad de anular la aventura. El DSM tiró a fondo persiguiendo para propiciar el esprint para la neerlandesa Charlotte Kool, pero no logró anular una diferencia de 30 segundos que las escapadas supieron economizar.
Vittoria Guazzin sucedió en el palmarés del Le Samyn des Dames a la italiana Marta Bastianelli, vencedora de la pasada impresión (2023).
Un total de 163 ciclistas de 27 nacionalidades distintas y pertenecientes a 25 escuadras disputaron la decimotercera impresión de la la carrera belga femenina.
Le Samyn des Dames es una competición relativamente muchacha en el calendario internacional del ciclismo afeminado, pero que rápidamente ha vacada prestigio y gratitud en el mundo del ciclismo. Disputada en Bélgica, esta clásica de un día se celebra en la región de Valonia y forma parte del inicio de la temporada de clásicas de primavera en Europa.
Desde su creación, Le Samyn des Dames ha destacado por su intolerante itinerario, caracterizado por tramos de adoquines y pequeñas cotas que ponen a prueba la resistor y la técnica de las corredoras.
