La Fórmula 1 amaneció este jueves con un bombazo informativo que se confirmó oficialmente con el paso de las horas: el fichaje de Lewis Hamilton por Ferrari en 2025. El sensación dominó alcanzó a Carlos Sainz, que tiene que agenciárselas nuevo coche a partir de esa término. El terremoto del mercado sufrirá todavía más réplicas, porque ahora queda desenvuelto un asiento en Mercedes, que podría ser para el propio Sainz o no. Las fichas se seguirán moviendo en el tablero. Pero no adelantemos acontecimientos. La comunicación del día, en sí misma, podemos enfocarla desde dos perspectivas. Si dejamos a un banda la bandera de España, el desembarco de Hamilton en Maranello es un movimiento de trascendencia histórica, porque une los destinos del mejor piloto de todos los tiempos en términos estadísticos con la escudería más mítica de la parrilla. El siete veces campeón del Mundo va a intentar la octava corona con los colores que elevaron a leyendas como Schumacher, Lauda o Fangio. Un objetivo que no pudieron culminar, más recientemente, otros grandes campeones como Fernando Alonso y Sebastian Vettel en sus filas. Ahí está el desafío de Hamilton. Seguramente, el final de su carrera.
El segundo enfoque, ya con la bandera española en la mano, nos conduce a las consecuencias de la jugada para Sainz, que posiblemente no merecía una salida así de Ferrari, cuando sus prestaciones han sido similares a las de su compañero Charles Leclerc. De hecho, la última triunfo del monoplaza italiano tuvo como protagonista al madrileño en Singapur 2023, la única que se le escapó a Red Bull en toda la temporada. La operación refrenda lo que era un secreto a voces, a pesar de los discursos contradictorios: la preferencia del Cavallino Rampante por Leclerc. El piloto gachupin tendrá que agenciárselas ahora nuevo volante, poco a lo que ya está acostumbrado. El tiempo dirá si sale ganando con el cambio o no. Aunque no vestirá tanto como viste Ferrari.
