Durante los recientes días de celebración de las Fiestas Patrias, las autoridades locales destacaron el comportamiento responsable de la ciudadanía, lo que permitió que las festividades se desarrollaran de guisa mayormente tranquila.
El delegado Guillermo Ruiz, en conjunto con el comisario de la 2ª Comisaría de Carabineros, longevo Nicolás Vidal y la comisaria de la PDI de Puerto Natales, jefa (s) de la Cuadrilla de Investigaciones, Teresa Cabezas, informaron que, aunque se registraron algunas infracciones e incivilidades menores, no hubo hechos graves que plañir. Las autoridades coincidieron en que el compromiso de la comunidad con el respeto a las normas fue secreto para apoyar el orden durante los días festivos.
El longevo Vidal destacó el despliegue preventivo de Carabineros y la constante supervisión en las zonas de entrada concurrencia, lo que contribuyó a la seguridad de los eventos. La comisaria Cabezas añadió que la colaboración interinstitucional fue fundamental para el éxito del operante durante los días festivos.
Luego, el delegado reiteró el llamado a la comunidad para apoyar una conducta responsable en las futuras celebraciones. Resaltó las acciones del software Denuncia Seguro, que pesquisa solucionar denuncias anónimas para alertar delitos.
En cuanto al tránsito por los complejos fronterizos de la provincia, en el aeropuerto y en el sector portuario, el delegado indicó que todas las operaciones se llevaron a extremidad en completa normalidad.
Junto a señalar que Carabineros realizó más de 2 mil controles, de ellos mil correspondieron a fiscalizaciones vehiculares, 800 controles de identidad, cursando infracciones al tránsito, 4 detenidos por conducir en estado de ofuscación, y 1 detenido por robo con violencia.
