La Seleccin Asturiana se ha impuesto en la prueba del Team Relay del Campeonato de Espaa de Ciclocross 2024 que se ha disputado este viernes en la localidad alavesa de Amurrio.
El combinado asturiano, uno de los favoritos de salida, ha dominado la prueba casi en su totalidad, sin bajar en ningn momento de las plazas de podio y asestando en las dos postas finales el golpe definitivo para alzarse con el ttulo. Cantabria, segunda, y la Comunidad Valenciana, tercera, han acompaado en la entrega de medallas a Asturias. La jornada inaugural del Campeonato de Espaa tambin ha servido para reconocer un precioso circuito embarrado con zonas de todo tipo (laderas, tablones, troncos, zona de arena,…) que han hecho las delicias de los participantes.
El combinado asturiano, compuesto por Miguel Llaneza, Benjamn Noval, Canor Arboleya, Hugo de la Calle, Mario Junquera y Luca Gonzlez, ha sido capaz de comandar la carrera ya desde la segunda posta; en la primera mandaba Galicia, aunque con escaso margen sobre el resto de contendientes. La tercera vuelta dejaba un panorama igualado, con Madrid en cabeza seguido de Asturias, Catalua y Navarra, con Galicia ya perdiendo algo de tiempo. Poco despus Asturias y Madrid lograban distanciarse de forma clara, con Cantabria, Catalua y Galicia cerrando un top-5 al que se empezaban a acercar otras selecciones como la de Euskadi o la de la Comunidad Valenciana.
Mario Junquera, encargado de realizar la penltima posta para Asturias, dejaba prcticamente sentenciado el ttulo al entregar el testigo a su compaera Hugo de la Calle con casi un minuto y medio de ventaja sobre Cantabria y Madrid. Con el prometedor sub-23 De la Calle lanzado hacia el oro para Asturias, la emocin resida en saber quines ocuparan un podio en el que Cantabria pareca asegurar la segunda plaza con dos grandes ltimas postas y la tercera plaza se jugara entre Madrid, Galicia, Euskadi, Catalua y la Comunidad Valenciana, que completaban el penltimo giro casi al mismo tiempo.
Alain Surez refrendaba el subcampeonato para Cantabria (Isaac y Alain Surez, Lpez, Beti, Matei y Prez), mientras que Felipe Orts haca gala de su podero en la ltima vuelta para culminar la fabulosa remontada de la Comunidad Valenciana (Orts, Ivars, Garca, Moncho, Rodrguez y Mira) y otorgar a su seleccin el bronce por delante de Catalua, cuyo ltimo relevo completaba Jofre Cullell, y Galicia y Euskadi.
“Un triunfo de todo el equipo; creo que fuimos bastante regulares, sabamos que tenamos un equipo potente en todas las categoras y haba que hacer una buena vuelta, con los menores errores posibles. Los relevos fueron muy buenos y el resultado est ah”, sealaba la cinco veces campeona de Espaa lite Luca Gonzlez al finalizar la prueba.
Maana a las 10:00h. tendr lugar la carrera para los hombres mster-50 y 60 y todas las fminas mster. A las 11:00 h. se disputar la prueba para los hombres mster-40 y a las 12:00 horas la cita para los hombres mster 30. Los chicos cadetes disputarn su carrera a las 13:00h. y las chicas cadetes harn lo propio a las 15:15 h. La jornada la cerrarn los chicos jnior a las 16:15h.
