La NASA anunció la búsqueda de candidatos estadounidenses o residentes permanentes, de entre 30 y 35 primaveras, para participar en su próxima simulación de encomienda a Marte. El tentativa, programado para la primavera de 2025, tiene como objetivo preparar el primer delirio humano al Planeta Rojo.

La NASA pesquisa candidatos “sanos y motivados” con un musculoso deseo de proceder aventuras únicas y contribuir al trabajo de la agencia espacial. Se compensará económicamente a los participantes, aunque los detalles se proporcionarán durante el proceso de selección.
Durante la encomienda terreno, la tripulación vivirá en un espacio de menos de 160 metros cuadrados, diseñado para afectar los desafíos que enfrentarían los humanos en Marte, incluyendo limitaciones de capital, fallos de equipos y retrasos en las comunicaciones.
Los candidatos, que deben dominar el inglés para una comunicación eficaz, no pueden fumar y pueden presentar sus solicitudes hasta el 2 de abril. La selección seguirá los criterios en serie de la NASA para los candidatos astronautas, como tener un reducido de 1,000 horas pilotando un avión o un máster en ingeniería, matemáticas, ciencia o tecnología. Se considerarán aspectos adicionales, como formación marcial o doctorado en medicina.
Entre las tareas esperadas de los participantes se incluyen paseos espaciales simulados, operaciones robóticas, mantenimiento del hábitat, gimnasia y ampliación de cultivos. La NASA demora obtener datos científicos valiosos de esta prueba, avanzando cerca de el objetivo de la exploración humana de Marte.
