Los vendedores señalaron que el FAOT les permite no advertir tan pesada la cuesta de enero, ya que los ingresos obtenidos durante la semana en la que se vive el festival les permiten salir delante de los gastos de las fiestas navideñas y de fin de año.
Un repunte en las ventas de hasta un 50% es lo que esperan los comerciantes con la arribada del Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado (FAOT) al municipio de Álamos.
Los vendedores señalaron que el FAOT les permite no advertir tan pesada la cuesta de enero, ya que los ingresos obtenidos durante la semana en la que se vive el festival les permiten salir delante de los gastos de las fiestas navideñas y de fin de año.
“Gracias a Todopoderoso, durante el FAOT nos va muy correctamente. Es por eso que esperamos con ansias que llegue el mes de enero, porque es cuando muchas familias alamenses se alivianan”, refirió Francisco Escalante Medina.
Sortean pandemia
Explicaron que vienen de tiempos difíciles en los que una pandemia mermó la afluencia de turistas y visitantes del sur de Sonora que solían henchir los callejones de Álamos durante una semana.
“En los últimos festivales hubo restricciones y eso merma la subvención de los turistas. El de este año es una buena oportunidad para recuperarnos económicamente y entender los ingresos que teníamos antiguamente de la pandemia”.
Asimismo, consideraron que el fin de semana de clausura es cuando aumenta la subvención de los visitantes, por lo cual la derrama económica podría incrementarse.
“Esto al punto que va empezando y, para ser los primeros días, vamos muy correctamente. El panorama es estimulante, pues ya sin una pandemia y sin restricciones, la concurrencia tiene más confianza en venir al FAOT”, añadió María Higuera Rosas.
